2007-08 Season
Wright recorded a 6-8 overall singles record in her first season with the Owls, going 3-3 in fall tournament action and 3-5 in the spring dual match format...Won her first-ever collegiate match, downing UTC's Kate Ksiezopolski 6-3, 6-1 in the first round of the UTC/Steve Baras Championship...Swept Savannah State's Shawannda McClain 6-0, 6-0 on February 15 at No. 3 to help lead the Owls to their first victory of the season...Won back-to-back March matches at No. 6, beating Presbyterian's Cayla Reece 6-1, 7-5 on the 21st followed by a 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 win over UTC's Ariana Sanjines...Was 1-1 in doubles competition, partnering with Lindsay Dillon for an 8-0 win over North Carolina Central's duo of Ambra Mason and Antoinette Spain in the Owls last match of the season.

Prep career
Wright joined the Owls after a successful prep career at Brookwood High School in Snellville, Ga. where she was a four-year starter...Finished ranked #36 in the state after her senior season with the Broncos...Went undefeated in the region for three consecutive years while helping lead BHS to the regional title in both her junior and senior years...Was an honorable mention all-county selection...Awarded the "Best Sportsmanship" award at the USTA regional championships...Was also awarded four varsity letters for tennis as well as two for cheerleading.
