2007-08 Season
Whalen was a solid contributor for the Owls during her sophomore season, going 2-1 in spring dual match events while serving as a mentor and coach for the team's first-year players...Was 2-5 overall after going 0-4 in the Owls fall tournaments...Paired with Madeleine Hakansson to win her first two doubles matches of the season, earning 8-6 wins in the duo's opening action of the season-opening UTC/Steve Baras Championship...Earned both of her singles wins in straight sets, rolling past Savannah State's Para Malden 6-0, 6-0 on February 15 before ending her season on high-note with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over North Carolina Central's Ambra Mason.

2006-07 Season
Compiled a 3-17 singles record while playing primarily in the No. 6 position...Was 2-15 at No. 6, 0-2 at No. 5 and 1-0 while playing in the No. 4 spot...Finished with a 3-17 doubles record while partnering with Jeni Thomas at No. 3 in the majority of her matches...Recorded her first collegiate victory by defeating Emily Turk of Western Carolina (3/4) 7-5, 6-4 while playing in the No. 6 position...Won both her singles and doubles match against Norfolk State (4/1), downing Ashley Daugherty 6-1, 6-0 in the singles No. 4 spot before teaming with Thomas to defeat the Spartans' No. 2 duo of Daugherty and Donita Peterson 8-0 at the Hampton Roads Tennis Roundup...Paired with Thomas to sweep Savannah State's (3/12) No. 2 team of Chantasia Bridges and Shawannda McClain 8-0 for her first collegiate doubles victory.

Prep Career
Enjoyed a successful four-year career at North Gwinnett High School...Was the recipient of the North Gwinnett Bulldog award during her sophomore and junior years...Finished in first place in the Georgia/Florida USTA team championships in 2001...Also finished first place in the 2003 U-18 USTA Southern Section.
