T.J. Greggs enters his fourth season with the Kennesaw State University women's tennis team. He spent two years with the program serving as a volunteer assistant coach before assuming the role of Director of Tennis Operations in May 2006. Greggs has held numerous responsibilities with the Owls. He serves as the assistant coach for the women's team and will serve in the same role with the new men's team. He is the lead recruiter for the men's program and also assists with recruitment for the women. Additionally, he serves as an on-court coach and assists with practices, training, and monitoring academic progress. He also serves as the Housing Coordinator for the Department of Athletics and holds the title of Assistant Director of Residence Life for KSU. Greggs has been involved in college tennis for several years, both as a player and as a coach. He served as assistant coach at Allegheny College (Pa.) in 1997-98 and then the University of Buffalo from 1999 through 2001. Greggs had a successful career as a collegiate player, playing at Westminster (Pa.) from 1992-95 where he was a two-time All-Keystone/Empire Collegiate Conference performer. Playing No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles, Greggs twice advanced to the finals of the conference tournament and in 1994 he represented Westminster at the NAIA National Tournament in Tulsa, Okla. Greggs has a B.S. in Mathematics from Westminster (1995) and received his M.A. in College Student Personnel from Slippery Rock University in 1999. He received a Graduate Certification in Sports Leadership from Central Florida in 2004. Greggs, a native of Stoneboro, Pa., is single and makes his home in Smyrna, Ga. |
