Sunday's Doubleheader to be "Lexi's Day at Bailey Park"

March 26, 2008

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State softball head coach Scott Whitlock and the Owls have announced that Sunday afternoon's doubleheader against North Florida will be "Lexi's Day at Bailey Park."

The twinbill will honor Lexi Kaiser, daughter of long-time supporters of Owls softball, Chip and Christy Kaiser. All profits from ticket sales and any other contributions will be donated directly to Lexi and her family to help with the costs of her treatment.

Lexi, the youngest in a set of five year-old triplets, was born with Cerebral Palsy but certainly does not let that stand in her way. Despite being quite limited in her mobility, she is included in all the family fun with her twin siblings, Kelli and Trey, as well as her younger sister, Hallie. Lexi enjoys coloring, making calls on her toy cell phone and interacting with family and friends.

Each day Lexi attends Jacob's Ladder, a non-profit neurodevelopment center established to provide children with the services they need to realize their full potential. Having assessed and educated well over 600 families since 1998, Jacob's Ladder has seen tremendous success with children diagnosed with PDD, Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Down Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Brain Injury, CP, Bipolar Disorder and other rare genetic disorders.

First pitch for Sunday's doubleheader is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Bailey Park. For more information on Lexi and Jacob's Ladder, please visit the following websites:
