Broke the school record at the Niswonger Invitational finishing the 400m dash with a time of 50.33... placed first in the 400m dash at the outdoor Conference Championships with a time of 48.71

Prep Career
James joined Kennesaw State for his freshman season after running for Centennial High School where he was the regional champion for the 400m and 800m...came in second at State in the 800m....holds seven high school records including the 800m race (1:55.79) and the pole vault (13-0.0ft.)...in 2006 he received the Guts Award from his high school in recognition for his effort...his best time for the mile is 4:34.

Was born James Verdi in Alpharetta, Ga...is the son of Margery and James Verdi...has a twin Dominic and a younger brother Eric (13)...also wrestled during his high school athletic career.
