2007 Season
Finished third in the 800m with a time of 1:57.93 at the Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor Championship...had his best run of the outdoor season at the UCF Golden Knight Twilight Invitational where completed the 800m race with a time of 1:56.59...ran the mile in 4:51.65 at the Niswonger Foundation Invitational.

2006 Season
Competed primarily in the 800-meter dash...finished fourth with a time of 1:56.90 at the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships.

Prep Career
Matthew came to KSU after running at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Ga. where he ran track and cross country...was the Patriot's top cross-country runner in his final three seasons...finished 16th in the Region 4AAAA Cross-Country Meet with a time of 17:43.27...ran a 17:35 in the LaGrange Invitational, second best time for the Patriots.

Was born Matthew David Auers...his parents are Loren and Elizabeth Auers...has three siblings Tom (26), John (24) and Marie (19)...is majoring in Exercise and Health Science.
