2007-08 Season
Putnam joined the Owls in the middle of the season after transferring from Darton Junior College in Albany, Ga. ...He competed in all six of the Owls spring events, posting top five finishes at the Charleston Southern Spring Kick-Off Classic and the Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational...He finished second at the CSU Spring Kick-Off, posting back-to-back 70's in the first two rounds to finish at a three-over par 216...He led the squad to their only win of the season at the Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational, finishing fifth on the strength of a second-round, career-low 69...Putnam led the Owls in scoring on six different occasions...He turned in three other par or better rounds on the season and finished with a 74.3 scoring average in 18 rounds.

Putnam joined the Owls after transferring from defending National Champion Darton Junior College in Albany, Ga. ...Won his first collegiate tournament last fall in Biloxi, Miss., going two-under (72-66-76-214)...Shot 67-72 at the U.S. Pub Links Qualifier and missed the cut by one shot...Finished second at a Collegiate Players Tour event in Orlando, Ga., shooting 73-75-66-214 last June...Shot a 69 in qualifying for the Georgia Open... Shot 68 to qualify for the Atlanta Open...Shot 70 at the Dogwood qualifier, missing the cut by one shot...Was named team MVP at Etowah High School in his senior year, and Most Improved Player his junior year after helping lead the Eagles to the State Championship...Helped lead the Eagles to a runner-up finish in the state in his MVP senior season.
