Owls to Play Bears on CSS-TV

Aug. 16, 2007

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State will make their Atlantic Sun Conference Game of the Week appearance in its regular season finale against in-state-rival Mercer on February 29, in Macon, Ga.

"It's always good to play on television," said Owls head coach Tony Ingle. "We want to keep getting the Kennesaw State name out to as many people as possible. Plus, it's exciting for everyone involved. The players get up for it, the coaches love it and our fans really rally around the excitement of a televised game."

The regionally televised game will be shown on CSS-TV and will mark the fourth time the Owls have been featured on the Game of the Week since they joined the A-Sun in the 2005-06 season.

Kennesaw State is 2-1 in CSS-TV games having defeated Gardner-Webb on the road in '05-'06 while splitting a pair of televised games last season. Kennesaw State dropped overtime decision at East Tennessee State and then defeated Campbell in the Owls first-ever televised home game.

All time, the Owls are 4-2 in televised games including their victory over Southern Indiana in the nationally televised NCAA Division II national championship game in 2004.

The Owls made their television debut in 2003 when they played Columbus State on CSS-TV in the Peach Belt conference Tournament Championship game.
