Michael Bohana was selected by the Cincinnati Reds
 
 
Taken in Draft, Bohana and Freeman Sign Contracts

KENNESAW, Ga.--KENNESAW, Ga.--After being selected on the second day of the 2008 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, Kennesaw State pitchers Michael Bohana and Justin Freeman have both agreed to sign professional contracts to play for the Cincinnati Reds.

Bohana, a 6-foot-1-inch righty, was taken by the Reds in the 26th round. The 779th pick overall, Bohana is coming off a season where he was primarily a closer for KSU. The junior led the team in games finished with 13 and in saves with six. He earned a pair of wins and three saves against Atlantic Sun Conference opponents to go along with a 3.86 ERA in conference games.

Freeman was selected a few rounds later by the Reds as well. Freeman was taken in the 31st round with the 959th overall pick. The junior was named A-Sun Pitcher of the Week on March 24 after setting the KSU Division I record with 13 strikeouts in a complete game victory over Belmont. Freeman went 4-2 against A-Sun foes with a 3.41 ERA, striking out 41 batters.

The Owls also saw a few recruits selected as well. Tyler Wilson was selected by the Boston Red Sox with the 412th pick and Jordan Craft was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 47th round.
