KENNESAW, Ga.--The Kennesaw State baseball team (8-13) will face in-state rival Georgia in a home-and-home series beginning Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Stillwell Stadium. The Owls will then travel to face the Bulldogs at Foley Field in Athens on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

Both teams will enter the series after winning two out of three games against conference foes. KSU won the first and last games of the series with Belmont last Thursday and Friday at Stillwell Stadium, while UGA (12-8) took two out of three from Tennessee over the weekend at home.

Ric Bishop is leading the Owls offense with a .366 batting average. The junior connected for two homers in game two of the Belmont series, then drove in the winning runs with a double in the finale. Bishop leads the Owls in each of the "Triple Crown" categories, as he has five home runs and 19 RBIs.

The Owls are tentatively slated to start Ryan Rodebaugh on the mound for Tuesday's contest. The freshman doesn't have a decision yet on the season, but has an ERA of 4.22 with ten strikeouts in 10.2 innings.

Gordon Beckham leads the Bulldogs, as well as the SEC, in batting, hits, runs, total bases, and slugging percentage. Beckham has a .517 batting average with 13 long balls and 32 RBIs.

The Owls are hitting .246 as a team, while UGA is hitting .311. As a staff, the Owls have an ERA of 4.81, compared to UGA's, 3.97.

Tuesday's game will be broadcast via ASun.TV.
